Here's a note I received from a guitarist subscribed to my Tone Zone newsletter:
This may sound odd, but I got a Fuchs ODS last year, sat down with it a couple of times and couldn't relate to the layout....and couldn't find the tone I wanted. I religated the amp to my "stable" and went back to what I was used to. Today I got an email from Michael with Holiday greetings, which reminded me why I bought the Fuchs in the first place. I went to the suggested blog (on the Radical Tone Forum), read one post "How did you approach the amp", plugged in and started there. Lo and behold, the sound I was looking for was right there... kind of like Dorothy in the wizard of Oz... I had the way home, I just didn't know it. Now, I'm hearing all my guitars for the first time. Each one is sparkling! My Brian May, strat plus, L-5, Tele's, Gambale......wow. Thank you Michael.

The Quest for Perfect Tone
If I had to guess, you're probably one of those rare guitar players who has made up your mind. You know what you want and you've chosen to engage yourself in a quest to find it -- perfect tone. Maybe you're dissatisfied with the amp you now have or perhaps you want what you've heard from a particular artist.
For those of you who have been dreaming of the tone made famous by Alexander Howard Dumble with his Dumble Overdrive Special amp, a Fuchs amp is the answer to "that sound." The Dumbles run upwards of $20K (one recently sold on Ebay for $60K) and are no longer in production. Why waste your money? The Fuchs amp will give you what you're looking for and will compete or beat any similar amp on the market, including the Dumble. Best of all, Andy Fuchs is a great guy who takes incredible care of his customers. Every amp he makes is one of is babies and if the amp needs service, he's happy to help.
For those of you looking for vintage rock tones, we now carry 65 amps as a complement to our Fuchs line. 65 amps covers vintage Marshall, VOX, and similar types of tones. These amps look and sound fabulous!!!
Give us a call and we'll be happy to schedule a time when you can come hear one for yourself. Or catch me in concert sometime and you can hear the tone I'm getting with my amp. If you click on the "Request a Quote" button, you can fill out the options to request a quote on an amplifier customized to fit your playing style and performance needs.
We have an ever growing list of happy customers and we will do what we can to earn your business. Thanks for stopping by and we look forward to hearing from you.
